Hewlett-Packard Selects Indianapolis-based Company to Market Digital Copier-Based MFPs

INDIANAPOLIS, IN — Cannon IV, Inc. has been selected by Hewlett-Packard to join an elite group of re-sellers to market and support Hewlett-Packard's (HP) new digital copier-based line of high-performance multifunction printers. Membership in the HP MFP VIP Select Partner program is based on a reseller's proven ability to effectively market, service and support digital copier-based products.

The new machines, unveiled by HP late last year, will reduce document production and distribution costs through the consolidation of a versatile, network-enabled multifunction device that integrates seamlessly with networks to provide fast, high-quality printing, copying, scanning and finishing.

"Cannon IV has always strived to provide our customers the best set of printing and imaging solutions for their business," explained Cannon IV President & CEO Jerry Jones. "The newest line of HP digital copier-based multifunction printers presents another option for companies looking to save on their output-related spending. As a leading distributor of HP products, we are honored to be one of the select few partners who have been chosen to offer this new technology."

The new digital copier-based HP LaserJet 9055MFP and 9065MFP multifunction printers (MFPs) feature HP's network manageability–printing and copying up to 55- and 65-pages-per-minute respectively. The products, as well as the new HP LaserJet 9085MFP (printing and copying up to 85 pages per minute), offer more finishing functionality including a booklet creator with saddlestitch, three-hole punch and multi-position stapling option. The innovative HP multifunction printers are based on a robust digital copier platform, and HP drivers provide a common interface for all HP MFPs and printers. With reliable network connectivity via the high-performance HP Jetdirect 615n internal printer server, the MFP is compatible with existing networks of HP printing and imaging devices.

HP has selected Cannon IV, Inc. to market and service the new line of digital copier-based MFPs in Indiana, Ohio and Texas. To support customer needs', Cannon IV has invested heavily in sales and service training in the new MFPs and printer and document management solutions–HP Web Jetadmin and HP DSS Secure Workflow software. Companies may visit the Cannon IV document production and management demonstration center at its Indianapolis headquarters to see all of these products in operation.

"We are excited about entering the new Hewlett-Packard MFPs market and how those products will help our customers increase document production quality while reducing costs and saving money," Jones said.
